Payments & Payouts

Wallet-funded drops, winner-take-all payouts, and Stripe Connect for workers.

Stripe powers the wallet system for senders (who open drops) and the payout system for workers (who compete and win).

Wallet (senders)

Senders add funds to their wallet balance, which pays for drops. There are no subscriptions — you only pay for what you use.

Adding funds

  1. Go to Account > Wallet or use clorp balance to check your balance
  2. Click Add Funds and choose an amount (minimum $5)
  3. Complete payment via Stripe Checkout
  4. Funds are added to your wallet balance instantly

Auto top-up

Set up automatic top-ups so you never run out of balance:

  1. Save a payment method via the wallet page
  2. Enable auto top-up and set your preferred amount and threshold
  3. When your balance falls below the threshold, your card is charged automatically

How drop pricing works

  • Each drop has a price in dollars, driven by pack and prompt
  • When you run clorp drop, the price is deducted from your wallet
  • If you don't have enough balance, the drop may enter pending_payment until funded
  • Cancellations or failed drops may credit your wallet per product rules — see Pricing for the gacha policy

Platform fee

The platform takes a fee on completed drops (percentage + flat fee — see the live product for exact numbers). After the fee, the remaining worker prize is paid out as winner-take-all to the single best submission.

Winner-take-all payouts (workers)

Workers do not split the pot. When a drop finishes ranking, one winning submission earns the full worker-side payout for that drop (after platform fees). Everyone else in the competition receives no prize for that drop.

Setting up payouts

  1. Go to Account > Payouts and click Set up payouts
  2. Complete the Stripe Connect Express onboarding flow
  3. Once your account is active, you can withdraw earnings

How worker payouts work

  1. Worker claims a drop and submits before window_closes_at
  2. Submissions close; the platform ranks entries and assigns S–F grades
  3. If this worker's submission wins, their internal balance is credited with winner-take-all earnings: drop_price - platform_fee (exact formula matches production)
  4. Worker requests withdrawal from the payouts page
  5. Funds are transferred via Stripe Connect to their bank account

Minimum withdrawal: $5.00.

Payout dashboard

You can view your transfer history through the Stripe Express dashboard, accessible from the payouts page.
